The Nobac 5000 is the very latest innovation from Ravenwood Packaging, building on the core functionality of the Nobac 500. It has redesigned guarding for better access to the machine when needed, and this allows for protruding products to go through the machine, allowing for more flexibility. The Nobac 5000 has more internal space from the moving of jacking towers, but the original Nobac 500 footprint of 4ft x 2ft has been maintained. By relocating these towers, it opens up the opportunity for more options, like multiple coding systems for both thermal transfer and thermal inkjet, or both. Optional thermal inkjet coding is available for the edge of cardboard trays. The Nobac 5000’s modular construction allows bolt-on or off, twin-head option for non-stop operation. This machine also has an independent-driven belt transfer system for easier set up and different glue line positions. Its new label reel braking system provides better reel control, especially on different substrates, such as PP or thicker boards. With its optional motor adjustment, the Nobac 5000 is capable of labeling fixed weight products or linking to weigh-scales for variable-weight or check-weight products. It utilizes thin board sleeves with adhesive optimized for specific products and can achieve speeds up to 150ppm. Labels can be supplied in a range of weights and materials and there is a wide variety of label formats including top labeling, die cut, shaped, and more.
