    Let’s Explore the Possibilities…

    WBENC Conference 2023

Our superstar sales reps took on Nashville, Tennessee last month for the 2023 Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) Momentum Conference. In attendance from Wexler Packaging were Senior Sales Executive, Kristyn Shaner, and Regional Sales Representative, Julie Nawrocki. The event took place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center from March 20-23 and our team said the venue could not have been more gorgeous.

Kristyn and Julie spent the week networking with other WBE’s, strengthening existing connections and forming new relationships. They had the opportunity to reconnect with our Regional Partner Organization (RPO) for WBEC East, President, Liz Walsh, and Meghan Kelly. They met with lots of other representatives from companies in our RPO, including President Peggy Delfabbro from M. Davis, who was a conference sponsor, Barbara Bosha from Bosha Design+Communications, and Cindy Towers from JURISolutions. They also reconnected with Judith Maloy, the CEO of Polaris Direct and her lovely Business Development Strategist, Amy Acampora.

As a diverse supplier, we focused on connecting with corporate supplier diversity team members and had many great conversations with those professionals throughout the week. We made efforts to connect within the WBE network and with their manufacturing teams. Wednesday and Thursday included an open floor expo with informative expo booths, interactive exhibitor demonstrations and activities, one-on-one meeting opportunities, and so much more.

Many topics during the week were centered around sustainability. Sustainability has become such a huge goal throughout all industries and speakers make it a point to highlight this objective. Our reps attended many seminars, meet and greets, networking events, and even fit in a little line dancing! Thursday night featured a reception at the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville where Kristyn and Julie enjoyed mingling with live music, food, and the Saloon’s famous line dancing.

It was a successful event and a worthwhile trip packed with learning, connecting, and networking. Kristyn was excited to be back at it this year, and Julie was eager to experience her first WBENC conference. We can’t wait to see what is in store for next year!
